Profile
Virginia Naudé received an AB in History of Art from Bryn Mawr
College, Bryn Mawr, PA and her professional training in the
Conservation Department of the Victoria and Albert Museum, London.
Working at the V&A for five years with master craftsmen on primary
collection objects, she received practical training in fabrication
methods and conservation techniques for bronze, steel, stone,
terracotta, plaster and polychrome wood. The program included
connoisseurship and historical research in association with museum
keepers/scholars and collaboration with museum scientists. The
training was integrated into priority museum projects ranging in
size from large installations to small museum case display objects.
Dates of sculptures ranged from medieval to modern.
